Busy, Busy, Busy

Weekly update.

Brady had a great week/weekend. First- Brady found out that he was selected to be on "Law Review"-which is the most prestigious law journal at TTU law. I don't know how to explain it-but it's a huge deal that he was selected. Brady is super excited, and I couldn't be more proud. Yay Brady!

While working for a federal judge this summer, Brady had to be "sworn in" in order to stay and work for this judge. Here are the pictures from this process-doesn't he look good in a suit?!

Apparently this judge has an annual hiking trip to the highest peak in Texas. On Saturday morning I received a text from Brady saying, "I'm on top of Texas!" :-) And here he is!

While Brady enjoyed his weekend on the peak of Texas, I traveled with my parents, and Abraham, to Dallas to visit Stacie & Darek. It was a busy weekend to say the least- here were the highlights.

Friday:
1. Drive to Dallas with Dad, Mom, Abe.

Saturday:
1. Elaborate trip to Dunkin' Donuts with Mom ($20 later)
2. Downtown Farmer's Market: 12 tomatoes, 5 mini cucumbers, and ~5 peaches later.
3. Taste of Dallas: aka Taste of samples. We ate-we sat-we got hot-we left. Mmmm.
4. Visit to Crate & Barrel: 1 year post wedding- I got the chance to use our wedding gift card thanks to Stacie & Darek!
5. Visit to Ikea. The trip started out great: as seen below.

5. Continued. Then I decided to buy some shelves at Ikea that we quickly found out did not fit in the car.
5. Continued some more. Thank you to Stacie, Darek, and Dad for their patience. Thank you to Mom for the ikea hot dogs to settle the nerves. That's what you call teamwork. 4 hours later- we finally left Ikea.
Sunday:
1. Quick Trip to Abilene: Good News: Drew (my cousin) is engaged! Yay!! So excited for Drew and Bryn!!
2. Finally home. The addition of the new shelves: huge success.

It was a great weekend! Busy- but eventful!
